Good book....Index is lacking March 7, 2010 W. Champion (Atlanta, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I and think that this is a very good book and I use it nearly everyday as my main source of material. That being said, the FIRST AID team really needs to spend some time on their index. There are SO MANY drugs and other items that are in the book but are not in the index. This can make it frustrating and time consuming to find what you are looking for.
The Way to Success in USMLE Step 1 March 6, 2010 T. Azizi (Boston, MA USA) "First Aid for the USMLE Step 1, 2010 edition" has been significantly revised and changed compare to the previous editions, according to one of my friends experience, who had read the previous editions as well as 2010. If you want to be successful in USMLE Step 1 in 2011, you must have one of this book around. Of course, it is not sufficient to pass the exam, but it is one of the must-read compartments of your study.
Must buy for step one March 5, 2010 Richard A. Kessler This book can and should be used as the primary study source for step one. I also recommend USMLE WORLD (online question bank) to supplement this book.
ANOTHER GREAT FROM FA March 3, 2010 Daniel Bal FIRST AID IS A MUST FOR ALL MEDICAL STUDENTS! The 2010 edition is excellent. I had the 2009, but I can attest that the 2010 is much better. There are minor changes, but they make a big difference when you reach them. There are a lot more tables, and better pictures. Even some of the information given is converted into a table to make it much easier to read and sort out.
Definitely a must!
First Aid March 3, 2010 NJE (Mi) Some good tables compared to 2009 but basically the info is the same. Really helpful resource for 2nd year.
