Sociology text book January 31, 2010 Julie Siegel The sociology text book was brand new and was still wrapped. I would definitely recommend purchasing from this person.
great introductory book October 28, 2009 Gerry Wagstaffe (Menlo Park, Ca United States) I needed a good intro book that went over all of the different sociological theories. This book is not your typical standardized boring textbook. I will definitely use Amazon in the future.

The author of Esstentials of Sociology has first-hand experience around the world observing different groups of people in different countries. This enables him to provide the reader with examples to demonstrate principles and topics of sociology that makes them easy to understand. Very well-writen; an easy-read. Contains great pictures, charts, graphs, statistics, etc.
Quick Note September 23, 2009 Fellow of Reason (The United States of America) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This review is primarily on the physical quality of the book.
I give this one star because it is a grossly over priced book, and for the price you would expect at the very least a quality binding. The book feels like a 3rd grade exercise book, the pages are VERY thin, like bible paper, the actual cover is about as thick as a regular sheet of paper, definitely not designed for heavy use and reference.
Side note : The Author rubbed me the wrong way at the very beginning. He instantly dismissed astrological ideas as fully superstitious and lacking any merit. This is the sign of either an amateur or a pompous high tower scientist.
