Helped with NCLEX August 3, 2010 Sabrine D. Santos (Cambridge, MA) I used these notecards to study for NCLEX and passed with 75q. I am a visual learner, and it helped a lot. In the days that I was too tired of the boring books, I had fun with the silly cartoons on these notecards. It doesn`t have all the meds you must know to pass the test. So, you need something else. I didn`t give 5 stars because it should have more meds.
Not for me, but maybe for others? June 18, 2010 Student Nurse (Northern Virginia) Personally, I hate these notecards and am sorry they were required by my professor. In my opinion, they're silly and childish. The pictures are of cartoons to try to help with understanding (or memorizing) drug concepts, but I prefer other ways of understanding that are more reality-based (like showing me a picture of what receptor a drug works on, rather than a cartoon picture of a cop who blocks a doorway). Again, this is just me - if cartoons work for you these may be helpful!
Regret June 15, 2010 Carrie Manifold The devices that they use are helpful in memorization; however, there are not enough drugs covered and sometimes vital information about drugs is omitted. I say come up with creative ways to remember drugs on your own.
Greatest book ever March 13, 2010 T. Hemami (San Diego, CA USA) This is an EXTREMELY helpful book for reviewing your drugs. I'm a pharmacy student and it has helped me so much. The pictures really help it stick out in your mind. I would highly recommend it to all health care professionals!
Quick and fun December 21, 2009 Willow (Portland, OR USA) This handy little flip book has a lot of memory aids... the art is humorous and provides a context for learning about the medication classifications and some of the specific meds within the class... great for carrying around and studying while waiting in line, riding the bus, or during commercials!
