My wife and I are both cancer survivors. September 3, 2010 Erik Swanson (White Lake, MI United States) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
My wife and I are both cancer survivors at age 50'ish. I was quite excited to read this book in the hope that we could pick up some helpful info to help keep us alive. Then I looked into the authors own documentation. In a nut shell, he's a liar. I'm going to repeat that because it's very important for those of you with loved ones who might be looking for some kind of guidance. The author is a liar. I wanted to believe him, but rudimentary investigation of his claims leads to one and only one conclusion: He's a liar. The good news is that main stream medicine actually does quite well dealing with cancer. Listen to your doctors. Ignore scum bags like this character.
Life Changing in Every Way! August 29, 2010 T. Kantz (Houston, TX USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
A couple of years ago I had an emergency appendectomy. Two months ago, I had my gallbladder taken out. My doctor put me on an all plant based diet and told me to never eat red meat again if I could help it. I realized I have had digestive issues my entire life and now I feel so much better. I have not become totally vegan as I cannot bring myself to give up dairy entirely. However, as a certified junk food junkie who ate chocolate for breakfast lunch and dinner since her teens, I crave fresh cut up cucumbers and tomatoes over anything else I could have in the fridge. I eat spinach like I've never had it before and I am learning to "taste" other fruits and vegetables and give them a chance. I have not eaten anything good for me in many years and now after two months, my digestive system is wonderful. I don't wake up bloated and nauseated and I don't hurt after every meal. You can eat all you want all day long and never be hungry and as long as it is primarily or wholly plant based, you will feel and act younger. I still eat chocolate but I strive to make it dark chocolate and I don't eat it in the quantities I did before. I have cut a lot of dairy out of my life but I don't see myself being able to cut it entirely out. I did switch from whole to skim milk and I now cook with soy milk.

The book was in better condition than expected and shipped very fast. Also, the book itself is amazing! thanks!
A must read! August 25, 2010 inquring mind 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book is a must read for the information about the relationship of the food we consume to the diseases that are so prevalent in our society. Everything is well documented and written in a style for the lay-person to understand. I found it life-changing as I have completely revamped my whole way of eating.
Real china study says nothing about it August 21, 2010 Katie Jager (ADDISON, TX, US) 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you actually stop and critically analyze and compare this nonsense to the real China Study paper that was peer reviewed and POORLY copied into this book you'll see that many of these "findings" are not statistically significant...meaning for all we know it was probably random chance.
For instance, one finding found that cigarettes actually increase protective factors against cancer.
Don't believe me go to your local university and look it up yourself.
